This week, Wednesday to Friday, our AXIS Secondary students set off on their Week Without Walls trip! At AXIS, we believe that experiences beyond the classroom that are experiential, challenging, and inclusive serve our students as they develop a greater understanding of themselves and others. We also feel it is necessary for our students to get out and experience the wider world for them to learn from practice.
The themes of this year’s WWW trip were linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Students focused on the conservation of mangroves and their ecosystems. They recorded biodiversity data, learned hiking and navigation skills, and enjoyed kayaking through the mangrove forest. Our students and teachers had a wonderful time during the trip! ???
