Tuition

Tuition includes all texts and resource materials, technology, Classroom Without Walls expenses, library and database membership, high speed/wireless Internet access, sports and fitness facility access for academic purposes.

Note: additional fees may apply for interscholastic travel/activities. The cost of device loss or repair will be borne by the student to whom the device is issued.

Payment/Billing

Tuition is payable in RMB. Payment in US Dollars or another currency must be arranged prior to payment with the finance office. The currency exchange rate for the academic year 2023-2024 is: 1 US Dollar = 6.7 Chinese RMB.

New Students Enrolling Mid-Year and for the Next Academic Year

New Students Billing for school tuition will be sent upon acceptance and is due immediately. If payment is not received within 7 calendar days the seat will be released. Students cannot start school until the payment is made. If a student withdraws after accepting admission for the next academic year and before June 30th, the paid invoice will be refunded less the RMB 40,000 non-refundable deposit.


Annual Re-registration for Returning/Continuing Students

Each March, parents will be asked to confirm their attendance for the following academic year. The tuition deposit will be invoiced in March and is due no later than 31st March. Seats are not guaranteed unless the fee has been fully paid. If a continuing student withdraws their applications between May 31st and June 30th, the paid invoice will be refunded less RMB 40,000 non-refundable deposit.

The enrollment of any student is a private contract between the parent and the school, regardless of any arrangement the parent may have with an employer concerning the payment of school fees. The parent always remains responsible for the payment of all school fees.


Deposit

Tuition Deposit for Re-enrolled Students.

The school calls for re-enrolment in early March. Parents are encouraged to respond to the re-enrolment call in a timely manner. A non-refundable deposit of 40,000 RMB will be billed to the parent or the designated payer once the Admissions Office receives confirmed re-enrolment decisions. Timely deposit payment must be made on or before March 31st to RESERVE the child’s class placement for the new school year.  Failure to receive the deposit payment by the due date may result in the child being placed on a waitlist.

The total amount of the deposit payment will be credited toward the child's tuition fees for the upcoming academic year. The remaining balance of the tuition fees will be billed in June and will be due on or before July 1st  prior to the new school year. 

Tuition Deposit for New Students of SY23-24 before June 2023 

A non-refundable tuition deposit of 40,000 RMB will be billed to the parents or designated payer after an admissions acceptance result is delivered to the parents. The deposit is due within 7 calendar days starting from the receipt date of the invoice or 30th June, either of which is earlier. The total amount of the deposit payment will be credited toward the child's tuition fees for the upcoming academic year. The remainder of the tuition fee will be billed in June and due on or before July 1st.

New students who are accepted after June 1st or during the school year will be billed with the full tuition, which is due within 7 calendar days.

Late Entry Policy

For new students enrolling after the start of the school year in August, the tuition will be charged on a prorated basis.


Withdrawal Policy

If a student withdraws from the school at any time prior to January 31st, 40% of the full tuition paid will be refunded. If a student withdraws from February 1st - March 31st, 20% will be refunded. No other refunds for early withdrawals can be considered. Parents should sent an Email to Office to apply for the withdraw, and Withdrawal forms are available at the AXIS Head of School office. Office mail to: office@axisschool.org.cn. Forms should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the student’s last day.


Overdue Payments

In the case of financial delinquency, any student whose tuition is outstanding will not be allowed to attend school until payment is made. Questions about bills and payments should be directed to the finance office.


Tuition Adjustment

Note: In the event of a financial crisis or if an unforeseen deficit arises, the school has the right to increase or revise fees at any time during the school year.

In the event of force majeure, the school retains the right to determine the fees at its discretion.

Important: it is essential to send a copy of the bank transfer slip to AXIS email btslip@axisschool.org.cn on the day payment is made. It is critical that the names and grades of all students must accompany the wire transfer payment instructions.


4. Meal Fees

Optional meals are charged annually. Prices subject to change. Students may bring their own lunch and snack.

AXIS will provide school lunch and snack to students after the funds have been received.

Cancellation Policy  

If your child / children wish to cancel your meal program a notice must be sent five (5) days in advance to office@axisschool.org.cn.

Refunds will be processed at the end of each semester (January and June).

The calculated refund fee will only be sent to the original payment sources. (Bank Account Transfer Only) .

Absentee Policy 

To qualify for an absentee refund five (5) days notice is required and a student for over five (5) days before a refund is payable. 

Any school day that is cancelled due to an unforeseen occurrence such as power outage, typhoon, pandemic, etc., does not qualify for a refund.
