Stitching Creativity into Curriculum 将创意“缝”进课程表

The Fashion Design elective is a project-based course designed for high school students, offering an opportunity to explore fashion design from global perspectives. The course strengthens students’ ability to translate cultural, social, and environmental topics into visual design expressions while enhancing aesthetic judgment, material experimentation, and problem-solving skills. Students also gain foundational skills in sewing, dyeing, and draping, and they build an understanding of traditional culture and global issues. The course encourages independent exploration and personal expression, helping students develop creative confidence and a global mindset for future studies in art, design, and interdisciplinary fields.

The course is structured around five core units: fashion fundamentals, festive-themed design, understanding traditional patterns, traditional craftsmanship application, and sustainability in design topics.

For the aspiring designer or the creatively curious student, AXIS provides more than just a class—it offers a pathway. Our range of arts electives builds foundational skills and professional habits, transforming raw passion into a disciplined readiness for higher education and a future creative career.
