Guess who is new at AXIS? 一起来认识AXIS的新老师

At the beginning of August, our staff returned to campus after the summer break, ready to reconnect, learn, and prepare together for SY 26–27.

Throughout Professional Development (PD) Week, staff came together to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen connections across the school community—building a strong foundation for future collaboration and communication.

During the WASC sessions, our entire team worked together to prepare for next year’s self-study visit. Staff members collaborated in different groups, focusing on key areas and topics as part of this important schoolwide process.

Technology was another key focus of the week. Led by our IT Department, this year’s sessions explored AI in Education, introducing staff to the growing role of AI in educational settings, as well as a variety of AI tools that can support teaching and learning.

Beyond academics and professional learning, all staff also participated in Safety Protocol, CPR, and First Aid Training. These sessions strengthened our shared commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and well-prepared learning environment for every student.

It was a busy, productive, and fulfilling week filled with learning, collaboration, and preparation.

And now, we’re ready for a new school year!

8月伊始，老师们结束暑假，准时返校。大家再次相聚在一起，共同学习、交流，为新学年到来做准备。

在为期一周的教师专业培训周，教职员工们坐在一起，交换想法，相互学习，在学校社区里进一步加强彼此之间的联系，为未来更加紧密、高效的协作与沟通打造良好基础。

在WASC培训会议上，全校教职员工积极参与，共同准备明年的WASC到校访问。大家分在不同的学习小组，围绕学校发展相关的领域和主题展开热烈讨论，全力支持学校的认证工作。

同时，科技方面的学习也是本周的重点。今年的培训会议重点关注人工智能与教育相关的内容，在IT部门的带领下，大家了解了人工智能在教育领域的广泛应用，以及介绍多种能够支持教学的AI工具。

除了学术和教学的专业学习，全体员工也参与了校园安全规范、心肺复苏和急救等相关培训。通过这些培训，进一步提升了全员的安全意识，为每一位学生打造一个安全、充满支持、准备充分的学习环境。

大家在学习、协作和准备迎接新学年的过程中，一起度过了这个忙碌、丰富、且收获满满的一周。
