Making Healthy Choices: Our KG Bibimbap Experience 探索健康生活：从幼儿园开始

In our recent Unit of Inquiry (UOI), Who We Are, our KG students explored how the choices we make every day help us stay healthy. We talked about healthy habits like eating well, getting enough sleep, exercising, and taking care of ourselves. We also discussed how our choices can have positive or negative consequences.

As part of our learning, we read Bee-bim Bop! by Linda Sue Park, a lovely story about a family preparing a Korean meal together. The children enjoyed the story, so we decided to make our own bibimbap to celebrate the end of our unit!

The children chose vegetables in different colors of the rainbow and had a go at chopping and preparing them. Our kitchen team helped cook the ingredients, and everyone got to put together their own colorful bowl of bibimbap.

It was a fun way to bring our learning to life while encouraging the children to be balanced in their choices and open-minded about trying different foods and experiences.

Through this hands-on activity, students brought the bibimbap from the pages of a book to life! Afterwards, they reflected on their experience by drawing pictures and writing sentences to share what they had learned. Their work was proudly displayed on a writing board outside the classroom, showcasing both their creativity and their learning journey.

在最近开展的“我们是谁”的UOI探究单元中，我们幼儿园大班的学生们围绕健康生活展开探索，了解日常生活中的不同选择如何影响我们的健康。课堂上，我们一起讨论了均衡饮食、充足睡眠、坚持运动以及照顾自己等健康生活习惯，也逐渐认识到，我们所做的每一个选择，都可能带来积极或消极的影响。

在单元学习的过程中，我们一起阅读了由Linda Sue Park创作的绘本《Bee-bim Bop!》。故事讲述了一家人齐心协力准备韩式拌饭的温馨经历。学生们非常喜欢这个故事，于是，我们决定在探究单元结束之际，亲手制作一碗属于自己的韩式拌饭，为这段学习旅程画上一个美味的句号！

学生们挑选了各种色彩缤纷的蔬菜，尝试亲自切菜、准备食材。在学校餐饮团队的协助下，在食材经过烹饪后，学生们根据自己的喜好，将不同的食材搭配在一起，制作出一碗碗色彩丰富、美味可口的韩式拌饭。

这次有趣的实践活动，让课堂上学到的知识真正融入生活。学生们在选择和尝试的过程中，学习如何成为懂得平衡的学习者，并以开放的心态尝试不同的食物与新鲜体验。

通过这次动手实践，学生们将绘本中的韩式拌饭变成了餐桌上的美味食物，让书本里的故事走进了现实！活动结束后，学生们还通过绘画和简单的句子，记录自己的体验与感受。老师们非常骄傲地将这些作品贴在教室外的作品展示板上，向大家展示他们的创造力，记录他们的学习与成长。
